I love the F engine in my 73 pig. Seems to suit it just fine, even at altitude. If I was looking for a SUV that I could drive on the freeway and has a vortex engine I would look at a Chevy Suburban.
You might want to look at plugging that in the engine bay. As I understand it, Toyota installed that line and then put the body on top of it in the factory. Plugged mine a couple years ago and haven't missed it.
