Sideview Mirror - Glass Only Replacement Source?

If you are ok with just plain glass, get any replacement mirror bigger than yours, and use a belt sander to shape it. I used to work in a mirror plant, made a few replacement mirrors for friends.

Rear shocks for stock '21 mall cruiser 200? No lift, no off-roading.

I have, those are good tires. I've tried a lot of tires, and read a lot of threads comparing tires. I think actual AT tires are going to be even tougher overall, and more capable if I have to chew through terrain getting off the highway, which has happened a few times already. I see cars with...

I hope the dealerships have not been rotating like the manual recommends

Definitely take you up on rear shocks if you have them. My brother @IdahoDoug is thinking I should be able to find takeoffs from someone on Mud. My shocks have 103k on them, still young in Land Cruiser years. Lots of 80 owners reported improved ride/handling with aftermarket shocks, but...

Do we have anyone on Mud giving good OEM sales? I'd rather pay someone here, than strangers with potential fake or rebuilt parts.

Rear shocks for stock '21 mall cruiser 200? No lift, no off-roading.

Yeah, my commute around Chicago is sometimes crazy, I've hit some big road debris. This must have happened years ago, I've had a weird corkscrew bounce to the truck for years. Kept thinking it was the bigger heavier tires, so glad to figure this out. I feel dumb for not noticing this before...

Highway commuter, somehow smashed a shock. Looking for stock ride, quality shocks, in case anyone has found especially good ones, or ones to avoid. Chicago roads are tough, need a tough truck! edit: 2021 base Land Cruiser, mostly stock, taller LT tires.

Back to square one - LC totaled.

My late wife's dad had a large and successful body shop in Michigan. He fixed a lot of cars and trucks after deer collisions, many had been fatal accidents. He said he had never found a fatality in a truck, only cars. I drive a truck, and add the bullbar, to increase my odds of survival so I...

Thanks. Stock and original so far, other than ARB front bumper.

Head Unit Freezing on my 200 Series

And the phone video didn't work. I'll get this complaint in the system anyway, so if it continues hopefully it will be under warranty

Head Unit Freezing on my 200 Series

I just had my screen lock up near the end of a three hour drive in rain. 2021, 98,000-miles. I took a video showing it not responding to dash and steering wheel controls, before shutting down. Restarted and it works normally. Warranty is almost over, and likely it won't happen for the dealer...

    Under the hood storage

Air expands, oil does not. More air in your bottles, means more expansion with heat or altitude changes. Opening the lid slightly and squeezing out any air, will prevent any expansion.

Back to square one - LC totaled.

I've hit seven deer and a construction crane. I've worked engineering in automotive for decades. ARB does their homework and engineering, finite-element-analysis is not that hard these days. Their bumpers have crumple zones built in, they are compatible with airbags. ARB designs their...

New Shoes - Nokian Outpost nAT LT275/65r18

Just ran across this thread while researching the Nokians. I've run the previous version Rotiiva about 80k, fantastic on the highway in slush, snow, ice. But the truck has an unsettling yaw when going over bumps. I've gotten used to it, just countersteer a bit, but my wife can't stand riding...

    Tire Pressures

I'm actually 90%+ highway, 175 miles around the bottom of Lake Michigan to O'Hare. Mostly dry and 75mph. The few times I'm running in challenging conditions, these tires have been amazing in slush and snow. As heavy as these tires are, I suspect they can handle this lower pressure without...
