The heart of the matter - I want to be illegal, but as Cruisergreg says, I also want to be very carefull to know what I'm doing so as to keep things running right. Have done a search on this subject at several sites and am just not finding real clear answers for de-smog of a 77 2F. Anyone?

One more idea to check. I had something like this problem in my 77 & it turned out to be the fuse holder clips being loose, so at idle w/vibration, it made the lights flicker but was fine while running around. Pinched the clips to hold the fuse tighter solved the problem.

Can anyone tell me some good hard-core wheeling spots to check out in the immediate vicinity of Sunriver, OR (within an hour drive)? Rock crawling is preferred. Some real metal masher stuff would be fun! ???
