Two weeks, 5 days. She's on the road. Still some cleanup, the only leak she had, was the small hose that goes from underneath the top radiator/coolant outlet. I just missed one small hose clamp. Seems good to go now.
Id like to thank everyone...
Soak those babies a few times the week before with Kroil or similar. I definitely felt lucky. I had new studs on hand just in case, but didn't use them.
1986 HJ75 Toyota Landcruiser Troop Carrier - Australia import. 12H-T Engine swap from an HJ61.
360KM on body, less than 200K on 12H-T engine. One of the best running 12H-Ts I've driven. No smoke or haze when cold, tons of power.

I just did this on our 2003 Sequoia this weekend (both sides). Not a ton of fun, but probably marginally easier than on a 100 series.
I hadn't originally planned on doing exhaust manifolds (though, had them sitting on the shelf), but as it...
Crushed this job on the side of I-15 near SLC. Truck died in 100F heat. Was lucky to have been carrying a spare 950-0210 with me.
I can confirm the importance of the o-ring :)
Nice Troopy.
I've never seen the rear AC before. Could you post pics of the controls and the rear vents? Does it have a separate cooling/expansion box for the rear? So many questions.
Just a thoght but some pics of the frame, axles...

The funnest stuff today - driver's side exhaust manifold! Took me all of 6 hours. Removed motor mount (both parts) (replaced with new). That made it a lot easier. Totally rust free truck was nice. No broken bolts or nuts. Probably could have done...
I highly recommend Import Quality JDM Cars from Japan | Japan Car Direct - https://www.japancardirect.com/, make an account and start looking at auctions, you can get an idea of what HDJ100's are going for, I got mine pretty cheap. I think...
Next morning headed home. Stopped at the Eureka Lodge for some pie. As we got out I noticed a hot smell and smoke coming from the rear wheels. Both sides where spitting brake fluid and the axle/wheels where very hot. Didn’t realize that the...
It’s mostly together ready for driving. Just need to finish the interior electrical. Need a wash. In front of the ARB car oppressor goes the CC servo from an 80 series.
Bought some presents for the troopy, fully committed to this nonsense now. I'll likely spin up a thread at some point soon just to document the swap as its both motor and trans (t-case is staying with the adapter). 1FZ-F and H150 for sale soon...
