How did you remove the plate after the nuts are removed. Did you have to “persuade” them with a hammer??

How did you get the new antenna coax to the dash? I tried to use string to pull the coax back through, but the sting broke and now I have nothing to route it behind the dash. BTW I have a 96 LX450

The cats are getting too hot and clogging. Turning purple from heat in about 10 minutes instead of the golden color. This occurred with old o2 sensors. Replaced both sensors and the shop put new cats on and it happened again to them. No bangs or noise front the engine. It is running smooth...

Took it back to the muffler shop... The exhaust temperature is elevated and is burning the cats and clogging them, causing excessive back pressure. Off to the mechanics (Renaissance for peeps in Raleigh) to have them diagnose the issue.

Agreed on the o2, so I replaced the upstream that was giving the code. Got a diagram on how to delete the EGR?

Hey guys, Had Henry’s muffler in Raleigh replace my cats and muffler on my 1996 LX450 (they were shot). Picked her up from the shop and she drove fine for the first few miles then got a P0125 code on the way home. About 10 miles into the drive home, she blew the hose off and broke the nipple...

Replaced the bad upstream o2 sensor. Disconnect the battery to clear the computer. Still very lethargic and blew the hose off of the modulator again.

It still has the old o2s in it. I ordered new ones due to the p0125 codes, just haven’t put them in.

so tried to do this tonight. All windows worked, just passenger from window was intermittent. Took apart, cleaned the contacts with a soft brass brush, small dab of electric grease. Shot the damn spring across the garage....damn spring

Damn it. I didn’t think about that.
