Not sure where at in black bear pass, but one of the folks I wheel with almost got knocked off the mountain by a boulder over labor day. Was 3 foot cubed and recovery was a challenge.

Will a 2.5" affect your tire size what load? Forgive me, I've forgotten what you're running for tires right now. I assume they ask you before sending, what your vehicle requirements are, e.g.: suspension height, weight load, etc.?

Official response is some people have gotten 100k out of them before a rebuild, regular servicing is 50-60k, frequent off-roading is 30k interval

Not just weld the cracks, but also add welded strips/straps in the affected area. Just welding it again, unless you promise never to jump your GX again, will just cause it to re-tear. Welding will weaken the material, so reinforcing it is a must...
