Nice looking drawers! There's lots of posts regarding this, some on top of the third row, some with the third row remove. Personally, I prefer keeping the third row for whom ever the future owner may be even though I never use them (maybe twice...

When you say, "...going over bumps.", what kind of bumps and how fast? Slow rolling speed pumps and driveways or cracks, dips and rises on the highway? Can you make it rattle standing next to the car, with all the doors open (to hear the noise)...

Hi all, just picked up a 2023 GX460 with 13k miles and like it a lot so far. However, I've noticed an intermittent rattling on the passenger side while going over bumps in the road. I can't quite isolate it myself and I just moved to a new town...

I was referring to the O.P. :). For family camping it is hard to beat a trailer - certainly love ours and being able to keep the inside of the rig un-cluttered with crap. If it's just me or me and one other person, we bring hardly anything and...

This button was different in pre 2020 models so not sure if attached service manual applicates.

Sorry for the miss-post Rednexus. Another great thing about a trailer is that everything is already packed, e.g. pillows, sleeping bags/blankets/sheets, etc., ALL cooking supplies including fridge, camp chairs, and any other ancillary is already...

You DO have the synthetic, right? I've had both, currently mounted is a SmittyBilt X2O-10K (waterproof), and I'll NEVER have wire cable line again on a winch! Between the weight, wire splinters, not floating (when the line is in the water), and...

OTT tune done today. Starting to prep for an incoming boat to trailer.

I don't think the cargo box will cut it. Having overlanded with Jake, I know his family has become very comfortable with trailer camping. He used to have a pretty good set of totes he'd pack on top of his rack for camping, before the trailer...

Ive been obsessing over moving from a 460 to either: A: 570 - don’t want to invest in a dated platform. B: 600 - a bit concerned about turbo C: 550 - pretty much the same thing as a 600 but looks better and gets slightly worse mpg’s I was only...

Put a cargo box on the roof of the GX. They barely affect MPG and (if you get a good one), will make almost no wind noise. You can easily put all sorts of light, bulky stuff up there (i.e, clothes, shoes, pillows, sleeping bags, folding camp...

Keep the GX. Like you said, late model well cared for LXes just don't see the car lots very often, the people who bought LX570s mostly knew what they were getting and intended it to be a 10+ year decision. I haven't looked at the current gen...

If you're looking at the new 4R, then you might as well shimmy over to Lexus and look at the new GX550 as well. It too is larger. Also, regarding interior room on the GX460, I feel your pain. We just came back from seven days camping with family...

Yes and not interested. Going to get the ICONs in 00 offset. I haven't bought a set of new Alloys in 24 years, so its time.

Have you looked here: GX 460 Manuals? It a sticky post on the main page. If you go down to post #2, you can download the FSM manual. That should get you want you want. Note when downloading: The download will be all PDF's, but you have to go...

Have you looked into the inner, inner inflation beadlock system? For myself, that's be the I'd want to go. Also, if you should shred a sidewall and are out of spare's, you could in theory use it like a "run-flat", without ruining your rim.

Lifetime is 60k if you tow anything, carry anything on your roof or do regular off-pavement travel. I wouldn't call it insurance but maybe good practice to replace a cheap hose while doing a coolant exchange. Belt too.

Will a tray fit it it? Or is it now to narrow/short?
  • r2m
The thing in the bottom is a soft sided CD case. So it looks like it would fit that way both side to side and if held vertically. Keep in mind there's a neoprene pad that fits in the bottom. I didn't want to alarm anyone by taking a gun out there.

Looking good! Remember, if you need to smooth out any high spots, a sure form, cheese grader type file works great!
