That's typical. Even though there is liquid fuel in your bowl, all the fumes evaporate. So a prepump or prime is typical.

Can some post some pics showing where the horn mounts to? I cannot remember where it bolts to... The mounting bracket has a little metal finger on the end of it. I know it mounts somewhere close to the headlight because the wire is really short. Any guidance would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I agree, may as well remove the tank cover. Your sending unit looks pretty new, the gasket might be okay. I'd replace your cracked hoses, it's cheap and easy. Side Q? Can I get that braided line anywhere else, other than Toyota?
