Background: 74 FJ40. I rebuilt the knuckles (new seals, bearings, gaskets, etc). Replaced tie rod ends, rebuilt center control arm, manual steering box, new rag joint. Then I came across this bag of parts and can't remember where they go 😆 Thanks in advance!

Reawakening this thread. I'm doing a complete tear down of my knuckles. 74 FJ40. Is it okay to use a wire wheel and scotchbrite to clean the outer birfields? I used some scotchbrite and noticed scratches appearing. Lastly, I noticed deep grooves inside in each direction (passenger side). Should...

First off, Thank You Rudy for the this awesome thread! I'm trying to get my Temp and Oil gauges to work in my 74 (3rd gen cluster). All gauges pass the 3.4W light test and all sending units put out enough ohms. Is this scratch at terminal A(+) causing a short??? If so what can I cover it to stop...

I'm considering those tires myself... It's either that or: 285/75 or 255/85 R16's, they measure 33.1" tall. But i LOVE those tall and skinnies! They look Pimp! Thanks Yo!!!

What size tires are you running? LOOKS MEAN!!

That's typical. Even though there is liquid fuel in your bowl, all the fumes evaporate. So a prepump or prime is typical.
