We've had a lot of snow north of Seattle and the tires continue to impress in all wintry weather. Agree breaking traction is difficult ... these tires just grip. Guessing its a combination of the tire material and tread pattern.. tread is very pliable to the touch.

Good to hear they do well in the mountains. I continue to be impressed with the road manners for how aggressive they are. They are so quiet and smooth and excell in heavy rain. Will be testing out the snow performance soon.

I just picked up the new AT3 XLT in 315/75/16 this morning based on recommendations from my Discount Tire rep who runs them (I originally was set on the K02s). The tires run small at least in 315s... mounted diameter is 34" which will allow me to mount my spare in the stock location if needed...

Congrats on the new rig! Looks pretty clean from the pictures and relatively low miles for an 80. Slightly biased, but love the Moonglow Pearl. Looks just like my 80 when I got it back in 2004. Getting all the maintenance caught up is a good place to start. CDL switch and removing the running...

I used to run 850/860's with the only added weight being front ARB and still have third row seats installed. When loaded on family trips the 860's were too soft (rear end sagged), so I just swapped out the 860's for 863's and much happier. Sorry no pics... Unloaded with the 863's the rear is...

I experience the same thing as Doug mentioned where grease from the drive shaft gets on hot exhaust components. Nothing to worry about if that's the case...
