Does anyone make a template for where to mount the steering box on the frame? The frame I'm building is completely stripped, so going off the linkage, etc. is not an option.

There are rivets that go through, no glue or fiberglass.

Built some dollies for the frame and got the frame put on them. Now I can start working on the thing without breaking my back. Also got the rain gutter blasted...some before and after photos...

The work on the top continues. Got the gutter removed and the old seam sealer cleaned up. Also repaired some fiberglass damage with West System epoxy (marine epoxy made for fiberglass) and some fiberglass filler. Next up is fixing up the gutter. I was hesitant to remove it, but now that it's off...

Do you think it would look weird to put an XXL on the drivers side and a normal Vario F on the passenger side?

Did you go with the XXL or regular Vario F for your size?

Picked up some new tools to help with the restoration. A new compressor and a used blast box. This is gonna be a game changer.

If the brotherhood of the traveling vice-grips is still in effect, I could use them. After trying to remove all the old caulk/seam sealer from my top in an effort to reseal it, I'm throwing in the towel and just going to remove the gutter completely to ensure I get all the gunk out of there...

Brought home a new frame today I found local. This will be a lot easier than fixing the rear crossmember, shock towers, spring perches, and bumper mounts that a previous owner hacked up and crazy welded. This new frame has the wiggly crossmember removed, but that should be a relatively easy fix.
