While you can't get the exact 17703-66020 P/N for the tuna can dust catcher anymore, you can still get P/N 17703-17010 and the only difference is the clips are clocked a little bit differently. I took a $20 gamble on having one sent over from the middle east and it works great! Hope this helps...

That's true. The only history of this I know is that the PO of my FJ40 was working on it in his driveway one day and a guy pulled up and basically dumped this housing/tranny/case in his yard and sped away. In retrospect, probably a smart move and something I should consider.

It might be, but honestly I'm so new to the FJ40 world and not sure if I might need it or not for the drivetrain I plan on running, which is a 2F/4speed. Haven't decided if I'll stick with the 4-speed transfer case or run the 3-speed transfer case I also have.
