If you decide to go with a rebuild, Leon's Transmission in Reseda has a lot of experience with the A440F and does quality work. I went to the shop in Oxnard a couple of years ago and they pulled my tranny and sent it to the Reseda shop.
It looks like they have a shop in Costa Mesa as well.
Anyone have a lead on this part or a non OE fix for one of these exhaust brackets? The rubber cushion on mine is in decent shape but the hanger is broken.

Checking in with a two tone '89. my dad and I drove it off the lot. Stock except for the suspension, 225K miles (about 50k in Baja). Runs great and most everything works thanks to all the tech support/info here on Mud.
Along with a spatula, I used these west system epoxy syringes to inject grease deep into the birf. They seemed to work really well.
I'm pretty sure I got the idea on here
