Ended up replacing the alternator at a shop. Went with oem. For some weird reason, she just doesn't feel quite right,.... the sound, the feel, the drive....

So definitely need a new alternator. I think the high output is a bit too much for what I need. I'm thinking of sticking oem. But maybe the sequoia part, since it does offer a bit more amps. Thanks for the tips. Following your build since I joined.

Is it a straight swap? Or do I need to change the fuse as well?

Cleaned the battery terminals, checked the fuse box, ran a test by removing the positive while running... car dies. This confirms the alternator is the issue, per my research. Is there anything else I could be overlooking before I go ahead with an alternator replacement? And is the alternator...

Air intake and filter was dry, little bit of dirt in the dirty side. Had it towed home. Can't imagine a bit of dirt and water can take out an alternator, gonna have to look into it more tomorrow morning....

I can hear the starter clicking. The battery sort of lights up everything, but the media screen is still blank

Did a quick trip, easy trail with some puddles and mud. Made it down the mountain, the dash lit up all the warning lights and turned off. Car began losing power. I was able to limped the car off the free way. Now the car won't start. Disconnected the battery, cleaned the terminals... fuse box...

Was able to disconnect the front sway and slide it in, however i cant get it reconnected. For now i had to put it back as is and tackle it another day. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. The ironman fcp does seem like the better choice in terms of what you get for the money and has great reviews from owners. As for your vtx wheels, do you run them with wheel spacers? And does running wheel spacers effect negatively in anyways?

First upgrade to the rig!!! Went with KO 2s on 17x8.5 -10 VTX wheels. The recommended size for stock setup was 265/70/17, however, experienced a lot of rubbing. I tried the heat gun technique but didn't improve a whole lot. (probably didn't do it right) Ended up just removing the stock side...
