I picked up the 100 yesterday and I couldn't be happier. The first thing I had to do was adjust the mirrors. I knew the old foam - 20 years and 200,000 miles - had collapsed a bit. Since it was my ass in that seat for 15 of those years and...

I do believe that they offer head rest etc but I didn't need them. I'm no expert on leather - time will tell if these wear OK.

This thread deserves more attention! ;-) $650 for driver and passenger front seats - uppers and lowers - is about 1/2 what the other companies are charging. Well, those include armrests and headrests, but still. Does USAutoseatnation.com offer...

Tires are as much of a factor as the suspension, i.e. E-Rated vs C-rated. If you're not routinely playing on rocks, I'd avoid E-rated tires. Okay sure, that knocks out half of your choices - assuming you're planning on 275/70/18 - but there are...

My 100 is currently at the upholstery shop - front and back seats, headrests, armrests, center console, and new carpet. I'll post pics when they're done.

Thread revival in 3... 2... I stumbled across this guy's Etsy store. The ashtray replacement looks great. I'm surprised we've not seen more of this one or similar products. @Rhetoric any updates? Still working well...

Adding mine from my two 100’s. 03 LC on 1.25” spacers and 200 series wheels. Hub bore is much smaller on these, spacers are required. Will not work if you want to do a part time kit but work fine aside from that. 98 LX on 1.25” spacers and...

First born got some upgrades to what is becoming her first car on Thursday. She's known the car for a while, but she will be surprised. 18 inch Tundra Steelies, powdercoated in FJ40 wheel gray. 265/70/18 Nitto Terra Grappler G3 No spacers, or...

Excited to see the results! Also those pickup seats are amazing!

I agree on the road manners - I did like the '19 LX with 45k more than the LC with 60k. The LC felt "floaty." The LX's suspension modes let me dial that float down.

Yeah, that grille is a LOT. There are a handful of good-looking winch bumpers out there. But you really have to commit - and cut up the front end. Aaaaand there goes 95% of your resale market if you decide later it's not the truck you hoped it'd...

This is the best deal I found on a 200. It does seem the LX570s are going for less $ than the LCs. This one's at Stonecrest Toyota just east of Atlanta. If you do call or go see it, ask for Chelsea. She seemed like a great sales person. It's a...

Welcome to 'Mud! Good looking 100. I do love a clean slate! Tesla displays definitely aren't the most popular upgrade. GROM's VL2 is somewhat popular, but there are a few popular options. The search function here isn't awesome. But Googling "100...

Spent some time this morning at Tony's Upholstery Shop picking the leather. The leather's been ordered and she goes under the knife next week. I'll report back! if it took a second to notice the swatch of leather, that means I got it right ;-)...

If I could, I would put a 100 body on a 200 drivetrain. Not because it looks better but the outward visibility is better and the 100 has a certain feel... maybe the best of all the heavy duty Land Cruisers. The 100 actually feels more solid to...

it's worth recognizing that this is the 100 forum. We're all here because we love THIS version of the Land Cruiser. I'll bet the same questions on the 200 forum will yield similar answers, but coming down on the side of 200s. I mean, we know...

@MongooseGA I tried that strategy - keeping the 100 and adding a GX550. My wife's response: So, you're selling the '84 then? I had to admit that, without a bigger garage and/or more land/houses, it was hard to justify three trucks for me.

I'm planning to add a 200 LX within a year. 100 is my spirit animal. Although sometimes I do consider that I'd get in to a 200 faster if I sold the 100.
  • Manhattan
I can empathize. Don't tell anyone in the 100 forum, but I recently considered selling my 2006 with 197,000 miles. Oh.. wait. Sorry guys. I'm so ashamed, but I did look at a bunch of replacements for the 100. I drove the various versions of the...

I'm looking again at options to replace the WetherTech (intentional typo). The 100's getting new carpet and leather, and there's no way the curly misshaped WeatherTechs are going back in. I've had several sets of these. I keep making the company...

Welcome to 'Mud! This topic gets covered off and on. There are a handful of threads worth going through. Also, 'mud's search function kind sucks. You're better off using Google, e.g. "leather seats 100 series ih8mud" to find threads in this...

A few years ago, I had a somewhat similar issue. The 100 ran normally. I parked it. An hour later, I went to start it and it sputtered, coughed, started - ran rough - rougher at low RPM, stalled... kept doing this. I called my buddy Dugan who...
