help needed on rear main leak

The groove is too deep for a cocus cloth. The idea of driving it in short or deep makes sense, but this is not my vehicle and I not very comfortable in telling the owner this may or may not work. Which way did you drive the seal & how long or how many miles has it been on yours. I assume yours...

help needed on rear main leak

It was not too bad, I pulled the trans. out. Having a lift, trans jack and pole jacks simplify the process.

help needed on rear main leak

Well as the title states I've got a problem with a rear main. I pulled the rear main seal on the '97 fj80 i'm working on and found the crankshaft to be grooved. I've contacted my machine shop, but he has not been able to find a speedi-sleeve for the crank. Has anyone else ran into this...

    2f head on 3fe block?

Okay i know this is backwards to all the head swapping i am seeing be discussed here, but lately it seems to be the story of my life. I'm in the process of buying an '88 fj62 that probably has a cracked head,( water in oil ), and I have a good 2f that I can pull parts off of. I'm looking for...

    3.0 build or swap

It is somewhat of a split between trailrig and dd. It has to be able to make the daily (20 mile all highway speed) trip for the wife to take to work when I am using her vehicle to tow with. But it will end up sas'd w/35's.

    3.0 build or swap

I've got a 1990 4runner with a 5spd trans that has a 3.0 w/a cracked block and I'm trying to figure out which way to go. I talked to my machine shop and he said he could sleeve the cylinder, but he does not think it would be worth the trouble. So, short of sleeving and rebuilding, I've...
