Took the cruiser down to the beach house my parents rented last week.. Spent the weekend with the fam driving around, eating seafood, and enjoying the summer in RI.
Set the body on the chassis this morning.
Should lower down about perfect with all the weight I need to still add. Figure about 2" drop in rear and 4" in the front. Looking for a .75-1.00" rake when finished.
Stretched out at 108.75" wheelbase...
Great, now I want to do the same thing to my trailer hitch. Is that a Draw-Tite unit? I believe that’s what mine is. Looks very similar.
Great work and sorry for your loss.
Attaching some pictures of the tow hitch. Mine had surface rust and very hard to remove stickers. I got it professionally sandblasted and powder coated. Re-installed with stainless steel hardware...sadly everything is made in China. Hopefully it...

The later blocks also have threaded plugs for an oil gallery on the left side of the block instead of using Welch plugs. Which is good because they improved the design. I dislike Welch plugs lol. From the rear of the engine it is behind the bell...
Matilda’s face got ripped off tonight
Fluids drained, some onto the floor. Oops. Both batteries and trays are out. I removed all the engine bay AC stuff and it’s not going back in. Carb, air cleaner, and dizzy are out. Karen’s been cleaning...
I drove the 60 from Tennessee to California to meet the guys I've been wheeling with for the last 38 years in the Death Valley desert. After driving this vehicle since 2009 with the stock drive train and now with the LS and 6L80, what a...
Side note:
The LED-modified flasher modules are verified to work on mid-80s Tercels (AL35 model) as well. I’m betting these work in a lot of Toyota vehicles from the era.
