I used the 79 to winch the triple locked project 80 out of the weeds to get started on it. It's a SoCal truck under all that dirt and moss. Not sure what it's future is, but it has to get better than this!

So now I've got a nice new generic overflow reservoir where the winch control used to be instead of that stupid long chrome plated tube that never worked worth a darn. Maybe enough room left for a horn and a winch cut-off switch

Yes I did. The install was fun, if you’re into that sort of thing. Can’t remember what pages that stuff is on, but here’s a couple pics.

Did you end up using the Bussmann 15305 relay box in your engine bay? If so, how was the install?

That was my initial thought, I can sometimes find rusty 80’s around here for cheap. Then I remembered this is already setup with an ARB and gears of some sort; I will probably just run it for now.

axle was probably discarded from something else :lol: You should throw an FJ60 axle under there Kevin. Even better would be an Fzj80 full floater if you can find one.

Yeah the bones seem good, I am still quite pleased with the truck. Taking it to cars and coffee at the Studebaker museum probably isn’t happening though 😂

Not a ton of progress, still trying to get a grasp on what needs to be done and in what order. The wiring is a mess, it really needs to be completely redone. Wire nuts, bad connections, and wires going every which way. The Autometer speedo has...

Busy schedule and the pig project has made little progress, but I am only about 7 hours from Windrock. I will be watching this.
