One of the hoses will be a vent or breather line, I am guessing that after fill up the fuel will slosh around and with no other escape route the fill cap is acting as the vent. Check for kinked or blocked lines in the breather hose
Diy:- Crimped winch cable ends?
Hey everyone
My father- in- law bought 2x 1000 foot rolls of 3/8 wire cable rated at 14,400lb min breaking strain for a project that didn't eventuate. My question is has anyone had luck crimping their own end on cable? What style crimps and what tools did...
Sorry, the 1st one with the ratchet style zert tool.
The link is UK but but was bought from Wurth Australia. I assume that wurth products are available in the US
We use this one at work (kenworth dealer). It cops a fair amount of abuse and has held up fine for over 6 years, it is a bit pricey for a one off job, but if you want one that will last I highly recommend it.

if it starts every time when you hot wire the exciter wire (smaller one fron the ignition) you may have an issue with the ignition itself, check earth and hot sides on the ignition barrel
x2 on the coaster, I have a 77/78 coster box sitting in my shed that has the same shift patten at both the box and shifter as posted above. can get some numbers off it if needed

Thanks for the reply Ron,
all grounds and connections were perfect, I removed the alt today and took it into the auto elect's to be tested and diagnosed......regulator was faulty, but the fluctuations were caused by abnormal brush contact and wear (spot on Ron:cheers:), wonder if the alt...
