If you're anywhere on the cross hatched area on the dipstick, worry about other things.

Battery and alternator goes hand in hand. The performance of one affects the others and vice versa..

Have the battery tested. A shorted cell will bring down system voltage.

If you're running E rated tires at 32 psi with no weight in the truck, you're rolling on concrete, not rubber. I daily drive my LX450 on 315/75R16 E load Toyos between 26 and 28. If I'm loaded and pulling a trailer, I'll run 33 to 35 max.

Our 100% stock 40th rides and handles great. Still on Michelins. Tire pressure may be the quickest way to make a ride change, and it's free. Factory pressure numbers are designed for the factory tire, and are set to balance...

good point - I'll go back and add in the temp references for all those links. - and while I agree, it's a lot different pulling a 4AWG cable than trying to get a 2AWG through some places (so it'd be nice to know with some accuracy what is...

The 3FE put out 155 bone crushing horses when it was brand new. A properly maintained cooling system should have zero issues keeping things cool. Fan clutch Aisin FCT-049. Nothing else. These clutches are usually robust out of the box, but could...

Perhaps i may chime in...own my 91 for over a decade now. Plenty of 4Lo type wheeling. 1st thing 1st. - Install a aftermarket temp sensor on the upper rad. hose with some real-time reading. The factory gauge sites in the middle between...

A few questions: 1. What is "hot"? 2. How are you measuring said hot? 3. What is your baseline for "not hot?"?

It's not just length/amps. The calculations depend on temperature. I typically add 20% to any chart. I'm a big believer of oversized wiring, and correctly calculated fuses.

I drove my 1991 FJ80 off the dealer's lot in June of 1991, and it drove like a dream. It was quiet and comfortable with a smooth ride. You have to remember that every single part was brand new. Shocks, springs, bushings, etc. were not 30 years...

Nothing from the distributor runs to the starter. Download the Toyota FSM and EWD from the resources section. If the distributor wiring has been modified/molested then that's likely your issue. Spark is developed from the pick up coils inside...

It looks like the weather is going to be perfect for sleeping under the stars all weekend. You don't have to wheel your truck if you don't want to. You can just hang out, camp, and eat till your eyes roll back in your head.

@Stumpalama Quick question. Was I supposed to get a confirmation email other than the PayPal receipt?
