Thanks much!
Yes.. I believe that mine had failed fom lack of use. Previous owner never took the truck off road. I removed the CDL motor .. but could not figure out through means at my disposal how to fix.. even took it to a LC specialty shop who could not revive it either. ..so I replaced...
Totally agree with the idea of a positive lock that I KNOW is engaged or disengaged. After wheeling and I turn off the CDL.. there is always that moment (s) before the diff light goes out.. Same when I start on the trail.. " what if the light doesn't come on? " I would really prefer a lever that...
Would be very interested in where this goes.. My CDL went bad.. bought one from Dubai.. worked great.. but now they are non-existent like everyone already knows. If the one for the 100 series can be made to work... that would be huge.
That is a really good job for do it yourself assembly - Ready for paint!!! Not many kits offered as DIY
Looks like it is all fillet welds.. makes it easier..
Did you mark the "Facing Outside" or did the user do that? It is a good idea to help keep it straight especially if you are flipping...
I saw where guys have asked about the license plate relocation. I purchased one from Amazon (was for a Jeep - had to mod the lug pattern side slightly) and then used my trailer pig tail for a power source. I used a trailer harness and some bullet connectors to allow for disconnection when the...
Wow.. Incredible design and great instructions.. Looks very doable.. just have to take your time and double check for squareness ESPECIALLY on the spindle components.
Great job!~!
Sent mine off to powder coat today. I color matched it to the cladding on my LX450. Will post pictures when I get it back. Lookin forward to seeing it completed and on the Beast.
and yes.. If there is a nuclear exchange.. I am going to hide under my tire carrier... I am pretty sure it will...
That looks just super!.. I really like the fact that the winch is tucked away, not "in your face" .. protected by the bumper.. yet easy access.. Great install on a really nice looking rig!
Happen to see that GGM (General Green Manufacturing) has a Similar Thread for what looks like a Bolt On tire carrier for our 80 series factory bumpers.. seems to be a recent post. Looks different... but great to see that some creative folks are looking for a solution. I am sure that it is no...
Hi there..
I can use my original plastics.. correct? Just need to use a hole saw for the spindle.
Can you tell me what size hole saw i would need??
I will probably paint it just myself so bare metal is fine.... What do you think is your lead time, and are you in production with these now...
