Spent a week at the beach with the family and brought the 40, many special memories made - especially a few fishing trips with my daughter!

I cut down a pair of these type of semi truck mud flap hangers to work on my FJ40. They are easy to remove if needed. The mounting part just bolts to the frame inside the rear fenders. Easy project that has worked well for many years.

So by chance, I picked up two large old-school Con-Ferr racks a few weeks back. One went on Pikachu, and the other needed a little more work and is going on this 40. Here's what it looked like when I picked it up. Obviously it needed some paint...

Freshened up my rear axle with new wheel bearings, seals, and paint so I could install a rear disc brake kit.
