Polishing compound and an old toothbrush.😉
In case you’re wondering about the tread plate material, I don’t have a ladder for the rig: I climb on the hood to get to the roof rack.
Now I guess I should detail the rest of the hood!😛
I discovered a small leak at the back of the engine on the Karma Cruiser recently . I did a valve adjustment a couple of weeks ago and determined that wasn’t it. But definitely wet on the lip by the starter. So Monday I pulled off the side cover...

Bringing this thread back rather than start another. Has anyone bought a tub lately? I am starting a restoration of my 1980 and am going to have to replace pretty much every panel in the tub. At this point, a new tub seems the best path. I've...
I used to buy body parts from Reel Steel. Since they have left the market I have searched for a new supplier. First ordered an FJ40 hood from Topnault. (Topnault Classic Car Parts - https://tpautoparts.com/). Hood arrived right gauge of steel...
I had an after school job at Midas muffler. They had a little black Datsun pickup truck parts runner with a 4 speed. It was so strange, it ran like a it stole something except in third gear. It had a miss and ran like crap, only in third gear.

When I first got my 40 it was running smoothly, then occasionally it would start to sputter, rough idle, missing, low power, etc. and go back to running smoothly until next time. It turned out to be a minor vacuum leak on the brake pedal linkage...
Drove my newly modified 40 to the supermarket…post office, drove my grandson home (age 10…loved it) then, took the long way home
If it wasn’t so freakin’ hot and humid I could drive her “8 days a week 🎶🎹🥁
Took the fam camping, went up Old Fall River road in Rocky Mountain National Park and the next day went out with a friend to do the Middle St Vrain Trail + Coney Flats. I loved the water crossings and was happy the truck could make it up &...
