The 80 has a hatch in the tank under back seat where the float for the gauge is. You can open it up and get to the fuel sock on end. But it wasn’t doing anything like this prior to rebuild.

Thanks all. The fuel filter was replaced only a few months ago. Any other reason I should replace now? I thought of the fuel pump but it wasn’t behaving like this prior. Will add to list.

Afternoon All, My carb issues continue on my FJ80. I know this is a 60 forum but it’s a 91 3F Carb Aus version. Not the 3FE one. I thought you good people might have more experience of the carb. Anyway chasing hesitation and have done the usual vac leaks, timing, valve clearance, PCV valve etc...

Yeah. Thanks. Has an electronic ignition added ages ago. Planning to have running and look under hood after dark tonight for arcing from HT or other leads. Have ordered PCV. If that doesn’t fix it then it’s off to the mechanic to check for vacuum leak testing. Petrol is fresh from known source...

Same sort of issue. Petrol 3F on petrol and LPG (carb). When cold starts fine with choke, idles fine with choke. Take off fine and as I try to reduce choke after 2-3 mins will start to hesitate and miss at @ 1500-2000rpm. No power. Revs drop and will cut out. Runs fine when warmed up. Have...

Hate to revive a closed thread but this has started happening on my 91 3F. Am in Melbourne as well funnily enough. Have ordered a PCV valve and grommet. Did the problem stay sorted with the valve change?

Hi, I've had a look on the schematics and can't find the p/n for the bolts holding the oil sump on the engine block. Anyone know them off top of head? Cheers GB

Hi all, I've tried in vain to find a link to a downloadable version of the factory parts catalogue or a CD purchasable version. Seems a lot of the online sites offering parts diagrams with parts numbers are getting shut down. Anyone help a brother out? Cheers GB.

Thanks did use it and read that one. I meant clearance to remove not method. Ie will it just drop off or do I need to fart about with jacking engine etch to get more clearance on the. 80
