I wanted to do the same, and just did the 'pop the cap off' and declog with weedeater string . Don't know if it fixed my very slow transfer leak yet, but it was certainly clogged. On my 76 will definitely be room to put a hose on the nipple and zip tie... thanks for all your help over the...
