SOLD FL - Dakota Digital Guages VHX-62T-FJ

Here is a screen shot from a video we did on Saturday. I have a dash cover to keep everything as clean as possible so it’s hard to see the gauges through it but..... they are there and working perfectly 🤣

SOLD  FL - Dakota Digital Guages VHX-62T-FJ

Selling my Dakota Digital gauges. They are working awesome but will not be needed in the next phase of my build, going to a tablet for my dash. I forgot to take specific pics of this when the battery and motor were still installed but I will see what I can find and will put in the comments. I...

    Dads 1971 FJ40 Swap

Hopefully you figure out the miss pretty quick. I was looking around some more and found this version from Proffitt’s Landcruisers and will be going this route. Super simple, low profile, and cheap and easy to make 😎

    Dads 1971 FJ40 Swap

Awesome build! I'm getting ready to put a TH350 in as well and was looking at the AA crossmember when I found your build. Your mods to their adapter look awesome and it seems like it would be a pretty easy thing to make out of some square tube stock. What're your thoughts after seeing the AA one...

Just installed a Dakota Digital in my 76 FJ40

You have to use the cable extension adapter. At least I did. Dakota digital is awesome in their tech dept so if you call them, they’ll be able to give you the specific reasons but I think it converts the type of cable end to proper one for their sensor sending unit

    Rear Disc Brakes...

You’re welcome! you may already be planning to do this but just in case you’re not: As for the install of the new bearing, cut the cage and pop the rollers out of the old bearing. Cut the carrier (outer race) in one spot with a die grinder and grind/sand any burrs smooth, no burrs is super...

    Rear Disc Brakes...

What you are calling the collar is part of the axle housing. The rubber seal is slid inside that “collar” and should be able to be pried out. Try taking a large pair of channel locks and grab both inside and outside lips of the seal. Pry against the other side of the seal to see if it will...

    Wanted FOUND SET....THANK YOU.

Most “stock” driveshafts that are any good are no longer available or very hard to find. I found it was easier and better to have custom shafts made for the exact length I needed. Tom Woods makes amazing drive shafts and dealing with them was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a...

1985 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, do they really exist?

Front drive shaft is missing at least 1 bolt at the front flange 🤷🏻‍♂️ As others have said, these things are interesting mazes as U.S. models unless it’s a complete original restore, I can’t imagine trying to figure out/ piece together what may be going on with an import that has serious...

    Clutch help

I will check both of those as well. I haven’t tried to remove the bolts that hold the mounting plate but the seem to be big enough that a larger head allen could be used. Do you remember if there would be a technical reason to use a bolt with such small allen slot? Would a larger allen reduce...
