It's been a long time since I posted an update, and I'm sad to say I have to get rid of the pig. :-( I started tearing it down to mitigate rust last year. Removed the fenders and grille, stripped the interior, and started planning how to best replace the worst affected areas. Around this same...

I actually looked at this rig before I found the one I ended up buying a few years ago. How much for the turn signals, grille, and maybe the DS fender?

I just stripped the floor on my '78 myself today after getting a wild hair. I used a flat pry bar, a flathead screwdriver, and lots of elbow grease. Most of it chipped up just fine, but some parts needed a little extra persuasion.

Figured out what was up with the tailgate window. Part of the track had bent and was pinching the rubber weatherstripping, preventing the window from moving. Bent everything straight, removed the old cracked and mostly useless rubber, and the window works again! I cut the rest of the roof rack...

I still own this thing and poke around on it occasionally. Although I have significantly less money then I did last year. The truck spends most of it's time taking up the majority of my garage, which the SO hates. Fired her up for the first time in quite a few months today. Was going to take it...

Haven't checked the booster, but if it was out wouldn't the peddle be harder to press and not easier? Pumping the brakes results in some pressure, so there might still be air in the system somewhere? Would a residual valve help at all?

I'm just venting a bit, there's an event in a few weeks I was hoping to have it drivable by. Once I get the kinks worked out i'm sure i'll be feeling much better about it. Other then the body rust and brakes, everything else on the truck is in pretty good condition. Edit: I just went out and...

Got a pile of parts earlier this week: Painted the drums, cleaned up the backing plate and hubs, and put everything together: Adjusted the cylinders, bled the whole system until the fluid ran clear and air free for a while, and... ... ... The brakes still don't work. :bang: I'm...
