I have figured out what I want for Rr springs, just have to find Fr and shocks that will work well with them.

Introduction and 70 Series Rear Disc Brakes Identification

Wow that is a blast from the past. I now have a 1HD powered 70 series that I have put well over 100k on with the drum brakes. Personally they have been plenty of stopping power for me.

Always good seeing you as well. We need to get our 70 series in the same place for some wheeling next year. No, haven't made any real progress with getting the BP51 to work. I do feel like the suspension is on deck for getting an upgrade soon just have to decide which way to go BP51...

    My R151F needs replacing... H55 or H152? (HZJ78)

Marlin Crawler does have some upgrade parts for the R-series transmission. I have them in my modified R151(different 5th gear) running behind a 1HD-FT for over 120k so far with no issues. My rig doesn't weigh so much though.

I liked the old wheels as well, but not the tires. I was able to get a set of BFG Trail Terrain tires from a 24MY Tacoma ORP, so the wheels where the best that I could find to match those tires. They are growing on me though. Wheels: DX4, Rhino, 17x8.5, -18 Tires: BFG Trail Terrain...

Well I actually changed the timing belt when I swapped in the new engine and then reset the light 20k later, so this was a little more than the recommended time between. That being said the timing belt looked perfect. The v-belts on the other hand not so much as they were still from Japan and...

So to catch up on the building side from where i left off, back in 2018 I made a fan shroud to improve the cooling a little bit. First I optimized the design with CAD ( Cardboard Aided Design): And then transfered it into metal: Finished up and painted and it has worked pretty good so far:

So in the last 6 years a 100,000km, it has been doing what Landcruiser do best and being a reliable vehicle that does anything asked of it. From hauling around a trials bike(fit it inside): To towing around a boat:

So it has been a little bit, but just hit a milestone so seems like time to update the build thead: (Note the timing belt light came on just 5km earlier) I am shooting to make it past 500k.

    Importer Recomendations

@Pip Bernadotte for getting the land cruiser on the boat I used the auction agent that I had used to buy the vehicle. (I didn't have a way to get it registered I Nagoya so mine was shipped directly back to the US). On the US side I found a agency through the suggestion of the shipping...

    Builds 1993 PZJ77 - The Evolution Continues

I ran 235's on mine, no need for that excessive width. Tall and skinny From my experience the 1PZ doesn't do too bad proving the power for the drive it just runs out of RPM around 70.

    1pz parts question (specific?)

That nipple is for the ACSD (Auto Cold Start Device). Often Deleted on vehicles to eliminate one failure point.
