@Pip Bernadotte for getting the land cruiser on the boat I used the auction agent that I had used to buy the vehicle. (I didn't have a way to get it registered I Nagoya so mine was shipped directly back to the US).
On the US side I found a agency through the suggestion of the shipping...
I ran 235's on mine, no need for that excessive width. Tall and skinny
From my experience the 1PZ doesn't do too bad proving the power for the drive it just runs out of RPM around 70.
I did the R452 5th gear swap in an early R151 and I would have to say it is one of my favorite modifications so far as it really makes a huge difference on Highway performance.
I did have some input shaft mismatches but if you are doing a rebuild the input shaft swap is the easiest part and...
The R151 should be fine, if anything I would rebuild it with some quality upgrades from Marlin Crawler. It would probably be easier than fitting in a H151.
I have had a rebuilt R151 behind my 1HD for the last year with no issues.
@Blomdala, I had the same situation none of my friends in Gifu seemed willing to let me use them for registration.
Also I used to live just south of Issha station, small world. If you haven't tried them MINA is good Indian food around there. It was just a few blocks from me and I was there so...
So I have to ask, if you are in Nagoya how are you registering the Landcruiser? I doubt that it passes the Diesel engine emissions requirements for Aichi.
Do you need the "Power" light? If not just solder a wire on parallel to each of the two resistors. Or if is still needed you just need to figure out which one is which.
I think that the engine mounts are the same, but the LH has a different location. (RH has 2 holes in it already). The real issue though is with the transmission. With the 1HZ the transmission sits further back than the 1PZ. So you either need to change the transmission location or both engine...
Thanks @Gun Runner 5 glad that you liked them.
They are from a 2013 Volvo S60.
I think that they actually fit in the 70 series pretty well.
The 12v power to run them took a little bit of work, but I haven't figured out how to get the seat heaters to work yet.
