Cool, can't wait to see pics! Just one more note, there are a few paints in the Kem Kromik line. The PDS sheet I attached is not the universal line. Just double check b4 you buy.
Good luck!
Pimplement Paint
No I think Kem Kromik is a very good candidate for this application. As you are blasting, etc. (Read the PDS attached) I also think that PPG Ameron or amercoat has some equally good products. What I meant was that I think implement paint is OK as most use this on their frame...
Kem Kromik
This looks like it would work well. Attached is the PDS, designed specifically for going over blasted surfaces. I operate a commercial painting company so I have a bit of insight and resources on this and have wondered what products I will use for my frame during my up and coming...
Ok, that makes sense. Airflow, temp and security. Up here in Minnesota I don't think I could give up my wall tent with the wood stove. Hunting season gets a bit too cold:crybaby:. Though I have to say it is not very portable and is not a "weekend" type tent for sure.
?
I don't want to seem like I am being negative, but why in the world would you want to have a tent on top of the truck? I am an avid outdoors man and have camped all my life. Is there a special benefit I am missing out on by putting the tent on top of my truck? Rattlesnake protection is the...
Envy
Wow! That thing is in crazy good shape! I have an 84 fj60 same color. I hope mine looks even half that good after frame off restore.
Nice grab.
Nice find
Great looking ride! x2 on the roof, always thought that looked cool especially with the ambulance doors.
Are you planning any mods in the future? Maybe a lift to get through some of the rains you guys have had lately? I have some relatives down in Eltham, VIC they really got nailed...
Money, Money must be funny.
Ever think about just getting some flat rubber stock. I'm sure you could easily cut out something in any shape you want......:hhmm:
I do feel you pain $400.00 is crazy for mudflaps.
Hey slj333 I see you from the not so snowy minnesnowta. I have an 84 FJ 60 I just started to tear down for a full restore. (Owned it for 7yrs now) Good to see another local.
CCOT chart
This is the only thing I could come up with. http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/coolfj40_2194_260736908 Did not see that serial number but maybe they have more info at CCOT
u tube
Try searching you tube. If I recall I saw someone who did this conversion on a 60. Sorry no link to offer. But it was only a few weeks back I saw this.
Radiator Fun
Hey first comment on the site here. Sweet looking rig! Good luck with the new radiator-SHINY. Just my .02, I had a similar situation with my 84 FJ-60. Just started to tear into the rebuild. The PO had also used that leak stop garbage and I had replaced the radiator but also now see...
