Well, I pulled the trigger on the LC wheels. They offered them in tapered or non-tapered lug style. I assumed tappered would be the same as conical or acorn. I ordered the non-tapered style which I believe would be the same as the flat washer type for my 97 LX. Hopefully I got that right.:confused:

Yes, my LX does have LX wheels, but they are corroded at the painted inserts. It is actually cheaper to buy a refinished set outright than it is to have mine refinished locally. I am leaning toward getting the 40th anniversary version of the LC wheels. My rig is that Lexus old man gold-ish color...

They are not royally thrashed or bent, just some corrosion on the painted inserts. They would be a good candidate for a bead blast and powder coat. I will stand by $150 for the set. I don't mind passing along a good deal to a fellow mudder.

I have some stock LX450/ 80 series wheels that are corroded considerably in the painted recessed areas. Has anyone had any luck having these refinished? Any referrals in SoCal? On a related note, I have cash if anyone has a clean set of 16x8 LC or LX 80 series wheels.......anyone?

I drove it about a month ago. It is not as clean as it looks in the pics. Lots of signs of corrosion. The other one he has without lockers is cleaner but it has a replacement VIN from being stolen and recovered. I passed on both.
