60 series not built for speed?

So do I. I got it this way from the previous owner 3 years ago. Over 300k miles. Been over all the place with it ever since, with no issues at all. But top speed has also been 60, rarely 75. I always thought that was just how fast the 2H could go.

Any detailed checklist for SAFELY turboing a 2H engine?

Thanks for all the valuable inputs. Good to know: "I have noticed a bit more perk with fresh nozzles and extractors."

60 series not built for speed?

impressive. Mine reaches 75 mostly downhill, rarely on flat road, at full throttle

Does anyone have a detailed checklist for SAFELY turboing a 2H engine? (if such a thing as turboing a 2H even exists) :)

60 series not built for speed?

Hi there some inner thoughts I have read a lot on (and have myself experienced) the fact that the 60 series is definety built for speed. Buy pushing it a love over 65mph, the car starts to be unstable. Isn't there for unsafe to drop a more powerful engine in it that would cause it to run faster...

PLEASE, HELP A NON MECHANIC GUY HAVE SOME SIMPLE, BASIC PERFORMANCE UPGRADE WORK DONE ON HIS 12H-T ENGINE

Yes, labor is rather is rather cheap here... including sourcing an old 60 or 40 series... (mostly from 2 500 to 4 000 USD, though pretty hard to come across a well-preserved one ). The frienziness for classic land cruisers hasn't really got people over here.... yet :)

Toyota Dyna engine options 13bT vs 14BT vs 15BFT/15BFTE???

Am I being a little too concerned to consider B/H engines (mostly 15B-FT ,and 12H-T) over the 1HD-T or 1HZ on the sole basis that making sure to always change the timing belts on time can be a pain in the ...ss? :)
