Hi there
some inner thoughts
I have read a lot on (and have myself experienced) the fact that the 60 series is definety built for speed. Buy pushing it a love over 65mph, the car starts to be unstable. Isn't there for unsafe to drop a more powerful engine in it that would cause it to run faster...
Yes, labor is rather is rather cheap here... including sourcing an old 60 or 40 series... (mostly from 2 500 to 4 000 USD, though pretty hard to come across a well-preserved one ). The frienziness for classic land cruisers hasn't really got people over here.... yet :)
Am I being a little too concerned to consider B/H engines (mostly 15B-FT ,and 12H-T) over the 1HD-T or 1HZ on the sole basis that making sure to always change the timing belts on time can be a pain in the ...ss? :)
Hi Henry,
You're welcome. And thanks for sharing these nice pics.
Tell me, from your personal experience, what are the few things, if any, that would make you prefer taking a HJ61 over a V8 79 series (or any other modern car) for overlanding.
I am a big fan of the 60 series, and I almost...
I call this one "The African Buffalo", an HJ60 but powered by the old mighty 12H-T. He is my first 60 series, he inspired me to look for more of them :)
