OK! I'm not advocating leaving TOB/fork disassembled, just not clicking the fork's metal clips into the round "stud" inside the BH. That way it's fully assembled but allowed to float down for a hot minute.

Thanks! I suspected that, and took the same approach. Unfortunately for me it's a holiday weekend and the typical ~1 day turnaround from the dealership is more like 5, but that's life.

Also, this is awesome. Spray copper permatex is new to me, but I just followed your recommendations and that's the easiest pan gasket change I've ever experienced.
Where else do you use this copper spray? Should I be considering...
I'm years away from completing bodywork, but @2fpower please let me know when you're getting low on those rear door seals. Those are the only ones I didn't order and I'd hate to miss my window.

Great work on this, and nice to see you took artistic license with the stud and clip to improve assembly and function.
