I have 2 cv shafts - one with boot ripped and other CV is okay -- 190k miles on these. Replaced with 2 new shafts.
Make me offer thats reasonable. Pick up locally - Frederick, MD.
Alright. Thanks. I did feel it was okay because there’s some gap between the knuckle and shaft. What’s more the groove does go past the oil seal.
The seal would have shown some damage if it was something else.
This afternoon, I took opportunity to replace the driver's side CV Shaft because of the boot is cracking up. Upon taking out the shaft, I noticed the inner area of the steering knuckle has some sort of deep groove. I'm not sure what you call that part as shown in the picture? Should I be...
Very subjective question. Coming from AHC... it does feel rough. :-)
But aside this, I have 2 other cars... the Toyota Prius and the Subaru Outback. The LX rides "smoother" than these two.
Yeah I removed and sold the globes.
Only thing I didnt salvage is the control accumulator. The bolt were stripped on top. I tried and tried hard. Gave up. Cut the bracket off.
