Hello! Just a follow up to this...the issue was the crank pulley. I purchased a new pulley and compared the two - the old pulley was about 1/4 inch closer to the oil pump. The pulley has about 270,000 miles on it...I think I must have messed it up when using the tie downs to hold the pulley...

I had that same problem and the people at the counter looked at me like I was stupid. I ended up taking the fittings off of my original ones and putting them on the NAPA u-joints before installing them.

figured it out!!! Replaced the spark plugs, one had a little water in it....checked the dist cap, it was dry....ran it and the problem was still there, intermittent though. Started checking wiring and plugs.......then HEY! is that plug supposed to have water in it??? The problem was with one...
