Lol, I gave up.. the MTL-LV was a 70w/75w oil as a direct replacement for Toyota LF Transfer Case oil... I think I must've been looking at 80-series tech forum when I ordered it. Not specifically recommended for the 100-series. My manual asks for a GL4 or GL5 75w-90 as does the service...

I’ld like to resurrect this regarding toyota LF 75w and 100 series transfer cases. I’ve just put in a direct replacement for that spec put in my transfer case (redline MTL-LV; 2006 lx470) and am wondering if that was a mistake.

I need to get the RED fipg for the trans pan (00295-01281)? Or is there a new part number for that?
What about the rubber gasket Toyota 35168-60010...
ok, called in this morning and pieces were available and I did buy but dang was it a bit expensive for one slat and one end cap: $240 shipped. Process was easy over the phone and the guy gave me 10% off but still that was kinda spendy.
Just to add, one came installed on a 100 series I bought. First time I tried to use the t-slots the recommended 8mm bolt chewed through the aluminum inside the channel with very light torque. It was a pita to remove the bolts after that. I now need a two new slat including one of the combined...
I see a lot of feeler gauges but no ranges that we should be looking for. I just put one in from a variety pack that is basically a perfect fit: no gap whatsoever. But is that too tight? And conversely, how loose is too loose?
