Thanks for the pointer to state specific forums. A trail within few hours range of New York or the Californian Disney park would be ideal though will consider anything. Are there Jeep rentals specifically for off-road trails and with relevent insurance cover? Disney(Cal)-Colorado-New...

Help with Vacation Trip July 2009

Hi Folks, I'm planning a 3 week Vacation with my Wife & 2 Kids to the States in July next year and would like to fit in a an 2-3 day guided off-road trip in somewhere. We are doing Disney (though haven't decided on which Disney yet) and probably New York. So we are hoping that probably the the...

VERY SCARY Noise during start up! Oh Oh!

I had the same noise/symptoms before my starter died. I replaced contacts and plunger and it works again, but the clunking noise still happens every 2nd or 3rd cold start. Now that I have already invested a bit of time in "fixing" the starter I don't want to spend any coin on a new or...

    Blown Head Gasket Club

Mine was doing this regularly until I spayed the Latch mechanism with WD40, a bit oil and stretched the spring a bit with a screwdriver.

    Blown Head Gasket Club

Geez! 12,000 posts. You must be God:eek: . And the man for parts as far as I can see. So how much will a Gasket cost me and shipping to UK. Damn, my excuse was I didn't have a garage. It rains here though. Okay it hasn't really rained for 6 weeks, but it surely will if I attempt to...

    Blown Head Gasket Club

I'm pretty sure I've just Joined the dreaded blown Head Gasket club. I'm getting steam from exhaust(clears after about 10 mins) and bubbles in radiator and No 1 Spark plug has a white coating. I'm having it pressure tested tomorrow. I 'm praying it's just the gasket and not a cracked head...

    Hi From Newbie

Not Marko Polo Marco Polo would have liked an 80 LC for his travels. I heard that when Marco Polo first opened the trade routes to China, he was quite impressed with their rockets. Now, these weren't quite the fireworks we now know, but they did shoot into the air, explode and make some...
