    78 fuel pressure

hi guys. My truck has been bucking and I can't figure it out. Used to run good at idle but as soon as I put a load on it, it bucks. So I redid the timing, check wires, spark plugs, change the fuel pump, blew the gas lines. Last week, she was running good and suddenly she started bucking and...

78 FJ40 tires rubbing on fender

Cool Cruisers make a nice shackle kit with greaseable pins. Would you recommend 1.5 or 2.5 in? I do like OME as well. That might be the way to go eventually.

Was thinking about cutting to factory specs as well. Would you know where I can get a template for it or just get dimensions? Not a fan of flares to be honest. Shackles might be my best current solution until I figure out what I really wanna do with it. Thanks for everyone's input.

Previous owner fabricated the rear fenders. New sheet metal. They don't look proper size. He made the front fenders also. Maybe I should cut out my opening bigger and put fender flares like Downy suggested.

I hate my front fenders and running boards. It's on the to do list but not high priority yet. Previous owner did that along with the tub skin. Ill change all when I repaint her.

78 FJ40 tires rubbing on fender

Hi guys. I just got new wheels and the offset is a little different and sticks out a little. Where ever I hit a bump, I'm touching the fenders. Im on stock suspension and clearly need to do a lift. What would you recommend without breaking the bank? Tires are BF Goodrich A/T 31x10.5x15...

    Muffler/exhaust for 78 FJ40

so I was out walking the dog last night and noticed that my exhaust pipe was hanging low. Sure enough, pipe broke. So I bought this truck with a cherry bomb exhaust on it. The sound was cool at first, but it's getting old. After searching the treads, I came down to a few options. OEM...

    78 FJ40. Headlights not working.

It works. I cleaned all the fuse connectors. The connectors to the lights themselves again as well. Everything works. The world is not coming to an end anymore. Enjoy your weekend folks and thanks to the ones who chimed in, I won't have to drive my baby with flashlights duck taped to the hood.

    78 FJ40. Headlights not working.

Great idea about high beams. Only the right side high beam works. Still puzzled. Gonna clean fuse connectors if I can sneak away from kids a little bit.

    78 FJ40. Headlights not working.

Hey guys, my headlights were working fine and all of a sudden, nothing. No special mods on this rig that would affect the electrical system. Park lights, turning signals, tail, all working. Put a meter to headlight probes and no current to it. Fuse is good. I took my switch apart...
