Bike rack on top or on hitch?

I have a hitch mount. I wouldn't go with a roof mount for the above stated reasons, but also because its nice to be able to put it on another vehicle easily. We have three vehicles we use the same rack on, and I've even used it on friend's vehicles. Save the roof for a basket or cartop carrier.

    H55F problem

What's not so easy is getting it back on right. I haven't done an H55, but I have done a couple tranny's in my Early Broncos. Before you install the thing back in the rig make sure it shifts through all of the gears and the shafts spin.

    H55F problem

Can't you just tip it on its back? Seems like it should move right back into place.

    H55F problem

Did you start having the problems after you pulled the shifter off or top cover off?

    Sources for H55?

Thanks chichiflys. I sent W from Over the Hill an email. I'll probably call tomorrow as well. I did look at cruiser parts, too. The only problem I have is that I was talking to them about some retractable 3-points for the rear seat and they seemed really flaky. I really hesitate to do a...

    Sources for H55?

Yeah, it'll be going into an '85. I'd like to claim that I bought an '85 because I knew about this, but instead it can be attributed to the providence of God. Seems like dealerships are always high on prices. I've bought just a couple parts from them already (3 point rear belts, front side...

    Sources for H55?

Had the Cruiser a few weeks now and am looking at what needs to be done. Have a couple major oil leaks that are getting attention soon (rear main and oil pan gasket). Also needing a new clutch. While the thing is apart, I'm seriously considering a 5 spd. We did this is one of our Early...

Who has bedliner on the floors?

I have a spray in liner in my '76 Early Bronco. Its easy as pie to clean. If you do the do-it-yourself kits from the auto parts stores, a lot of them are very gritty and would probably shred a towel if you tried to wipe it. The professional ones are typically smoother. Some of the newer...

New To Cruisers - Suspension Lifts

Here are a few pics of the Cruiser. They're not the best, but you get the idea. Pretty clean for an '85. Here's a link to the Cruiser as well on Flickr. The guy we bought it from put these up. http://www.flickr.com/photos/noahparsons/tags/landcruiser/

New To Cruisers - Suspension Lifts

Thanks for the replies. So not many options. OME, Man-A-Fre, Cool Cruisers, and Hellcreek suspensions. I'll get some pics up some time. I haven't even taken any shots yet. Don't know if I need to get 10 posts up here before I can post pics or not. I'll figure it out soon enough.

New To Cruisers - Suspension Lifts

I'm new to LandCruisers. My wife and I just bought an 85 yesterday with 115,000 miles. Its really nice and clean, but theres a couple of things I would like to do to it. It will be my wife's daily driver and our occasional camping rig, so we don't want to go extreme. I would like to lift...
