Well mine is definitely not stock... and besides the PO cut the mid crossmember out to get the trans out for a rebuild (he claimed it was rebuilt it at least) :doh: So I'll be coming up with a replacement for that anyway. All the other stuff, although extra work, I see as the fun part...

Here's a couple pics of my lift gate from when I was replacing the stock shocks with the more modern gas charged ones (only one is needed). IMO this was one of the little mods that was cheap but well worth it. No more shocks failing and leaving me with a bump on the head. -brandon

Sounds like the semi-electronic igniter module. Replaces the condenser on the distributor and is supposed to prolong the life of the points IIRC. -Brandon

I've got the front shackle hangars still lying around from the SR I just did on my 40. I'd be more than happy to send them to you if they would work. Seems to me the front and rear were the same just flipped around. -Brandon

Hmm, if the light is illuminated when the ignition is off I would suspect it's connected to an always hot circut, and causing the alternator to continue generating current. I would double check to make sure the circut your connecting to is ONLY on when the ignition is on. You could...

No. When the alternator is not producing a charge the #1 terminal is grounded, thus closing the circut from the ignition line, and powering the light. When the alternator is running the #1 terminal is disconnected from ground so the light goes out. good luck, -b
