I have the badlands 3 ton off road jack. I wanted a floor style jack. With the knobbie tires I’ve had no issue using it in sand, dirt, and rocks. The saddle extension gives almost 30” of height. It takes up a little more space in the back but for...
I’ve literally never swapped out a set of DBA rotors. The ones on my Tundra had close to 60k on them and still micced perfectly fine.
As for the hardware/shims, I don’t recall 100%, but I THINK I used the Hawk provided shims, but not certain
Update on the new to me LC.
Dry ice and undercoating done. Paint correction, PPF, and black out done. Front window tint.
Hamilton car play done.
Removed 3rd row seat and ordered covers.
Waiting on my slee sliders and my used Tundra BBS...
Ive ran DBA rotors on my last 5 Yotas and swear by them
I found the Hawk LTS to be the best all around pad combined with the DBA rotors. Pads are a personal preference thing though
No scam. I've bought at least 8 sets from multiple dealers. They are OEM and great quality.
The black set of 5 is cheaper than the chrome...go figure.
Here is another link to set of 5 on Sparks Parts...
Thanks.
Honestly, not even sure the name of the color. Just looked at their swatches and picked the gray matte metallic one. It’s Prismatic brand powder though. That much I know. Much better UV resistance than most
Thanks.
Depending on your area, check Craigslist, see them pop up somewhat often here in SoCal. Usually $1500 or so for a set +/-
The Protip is to try to find a set for sale with the lug nuts too. They’re freaking pricey
Don’t forget to...
I have these wheels, and went with Powdercoat.
However, you need to talk to local powdercoater to make sure they are familiar with the process of powdercoating FORGED wheels (lower temp, longer time).
I am lucky as i live 10 mins away from a...
Got the alignment in spec after the second visit. Had to sacrifice a little caster to get camber in spec but everything is within spec now. @Boston Mangler thanks for talking me into starting on the 3rd circlip.
Here are my readings of hub to fender measurements before and after. I went went 3rd circlip. I was expecting more of a rake going with the 3rd circlip but I really like how it looks now. A slight factory rake for when the back is loaded up but I...
I vaguely remember someone working on that setup and posting about it. But I don’t remember any keywords to get you started. Just that I think it has been discussed.

2016+ LC.
08-11 are just static due to the not-very-sharp halogen beam cutoff.
2013-15 LC got a dial on the dash to manually adjust beam height, because the xenons have a sharp upper cutoff.
All LXs mostly take care of it themselves because...
Thanks
I have a 2010 with the OEM 2013 headlights
Maybe I’ll look into retrofitting the dash adjuster switch into mine. The lights already have the motors. I was curious about that
Never seen it mentioned here
But in the Tundra forums, there’s been threads about various Amazon Cheapo ODB2 code reader/tuners damaging ECUs
No first hand experience with this, and haven’t verified it, but…. 🤷🏻♂️
Ever use a cheapo Amazon...
I could see this actually. The quick flashing issue isn’t a real failure exactly. There is some sort of self-test happening or some electrical circuit that’s open (or closed) that shouldn’t be when this occurs. It’s not that an ECU would fix...
So got a killer deal on some Falken Wildpeak AT3W in the SL load rating and decided to jump on it ahead of the wheel alignment.
From the research I’ve done the SL rated fallen all terrain tires should be smoother on smaller bumps and take some...
