Are you saying you need to order a new spindle? If you gouged the spindle, use a file or sand paper to knock down the high points. Then just put the bearing in. I’m sure you’ll be fine. Post a picture if you can.
I used Mobil 1. I couldn’t get a Toyota bearing for four days, and really needed to wrap it up on the weekend. I use the fish scale to get 12-15 lb of breakaway, and don’t pay attention to the torque.
Put your vin number in at Partsouq.com. I'm fairly certain you'll get the best price and probably have the parts within the week.
I replaced these on mine about 85k miles ago. You will destroy the old bearing getting it out. They are pretty...
Mobil 1 5w30 is fine. I’d avoid the high mileage version, that’s all. Once you’ve used it a few times, you can never go back to regular oil. I’m personally a fan of Pennzoil Ultra Premium, based on scientific testing. My highest mileage truck is...
I’d stick your head under the dash and make sure the MC shaft is able to fully extend. It makes sense in my mind that when the ABS electrically cycles it relieves the pressure, but once you press the pedal again it won’t release unless it fully...
A lot easier to do this job if you pull off the spindle and do it on the bench. I suppose you could do it on the truck, but you have to get the CV axle out. May as well make it easy on yourself.
I would spray the wheel speed sensor with your...
Don’t use high mileage oil. Once you do more than a couple changes with it you can’t go back. A good synthetic 5w30 is all that’s required. I personally change at 5k miles, but you could go longer. I wouldn’t recommend going 11k miles, ever...
Decided to check my wheel bearings as part of chasing a “wah wah wah” I get from 45-55 mph. I repacked then 25k miles ago, and the Timken bearings only have 85k since new. No play at all. The nuts were hand tight. Right side black grease around...
I was at Sturgis this year with my 01’ LX470. Complete loss of brakes with that darn buzzer.
The line break was at the coil of brake tubing, under the booster to the frame brake run.
I didn’t have another 3 weeks to wait for the OEM.
I...
You may need to reindex (rotate) your TBs to get more lift. Very easy to do. The factory ones should be good. If you add steel underarmor you may overtax them, but that doesn't sound like your use case would go there.
The real limfac to the...
