    Unlocking driver's door causes alarm

I appreciate the reply, Deflagrate. That's part of the problem too I guess, I can't unlock all the doors as I've got a dead fob, need to order a new one. As soon as I insert key and unlock the driver's door, there she blows.

    Unlocking driver's door causes alarm

Anyone been here before? 1 - Several months ago the power lock on driver's door wasn't working so I pulled out the actuator and replaced the motor. 2- After doing so, the lock worked but caused alarm to go off when unlocking. 3- I then replaced the whole actuator assembly and the then lock...

    Lx470 suspension recommendations

I vote for stock Land cruiser shocks. Cheap and smooth. I had OME’s for a short time but found them way too stiff for daily driving. I don’t have bumpers or any of that fun weight to make better use of them. And those were supposedly the soft valved ones. They cornered awesome tho if that what...

Media The MUD 100 series Photos thread

Just picked up a few weeks ago. 2 big repairs off the bat, but it’s at least starting to look better. Still small behind momma’s wagon. Pre: Post lift-wheels-Tires:

New lock actuator motor - alarm

I replaced the little motor inside my driver's door lock actuator. Prior to replacing this, the key fob would unlock/lock all doors, except driver's, without issue. Now the fob doesn't lock any. And when I press unlock it sounds the alarm. Any ideas what I may have messed up while I was in the...

First timer center diff (maybe) help

Yeah I'm no help there, sorry. Mine was already warm when misfire developed, but your theory on yours sounds logical.

First timer center diff (maybe) help

Thanks, yeah rust bucket is the name of the game here in MN. Thanks for the tips, much appreciated. Will see what the shop's fancy scanner says tomorrow and go from there. From what you said above it seems more and more like jumping teeth on the right side. According to receipt previous owner...

Still can’t like this truck, but it’s starting to look better anyway. Before and after

First timer center diff (maybe) help

You were right, CV axle was installed without a snap ring, and eventually pulled away from diff. My diff was toast as it ran dry of oil. So it now has one from a salvage yard and 2 new CV axles that ARE snapped in. This truck sucks. Just got that taken care of and a set of tires and wheels put...
