Anyone been here before?
1 - Several months ago the power lock on driver's door wasn't working so I pulled out the actuator and replaced the motor.
2- After doing so, the lock worked but caused alarm to go off when unlocking.
3- I then replaced the whole actuator assembly and the then lock worked, and no alarm, so all was peachy.
4- Fast forward about 3 months and now the lock still works but the alarm blares again.

Appreciate any ideas,

Mike

I would suspect it's still a problem with the lock motor. FWIW, my lock motor sometimes unlocks enough to physically unlock the door, but not far enough for the computer to think it is unlocked.

In the mean time, unlock all doors instead of just the driver door and the alarm won't go off.

I appreciate the reply, Deflagrate. That's part of the problem too I guess, I can't unlock all the doors as I've got a dead fob, need to order a new one. As soon as I insert key and unlock the driver's door, there she blows.

It can happen if you lock the doors with the remote and open from the key.

So this is HIGHLY likely a door lock sensor issue.
Pull the door card and get the handle out and remove the sensor from the lock cylinder. Clean both thoroughly with electrical contact cleaner and key/lock cleaner (only on the lock cylinder). Then dry off and lube the sensor with something like White Lithium grease (I used paste) and lube the lock.

I had same issue and found that the main culprit is the drivers door. Been a couple weeks now since I last cleaned the lock sensor and so far so good (knock on wood).
