I am looking to buy a stock 80 series Cruiser. I would love to find one in Alberta, but would be willing to travel short distances to find one. I have had little luck on kijiji and other places. Let me know whats out there.
I believe the MBE cars ran about 3:1 or 2.8:1 ratio in the diff. Im not 100% on the tire size but most cars are about 26-29 inches. With those numbers at 65mph the engine is doing about 2300rpm.
I dont know for sure which engine it is. It came out of a MBE sedan, im not even sure of the year of engine. We have not yet hooked up a t-case thats what we are trying to do and feel it would be easier to run a 700R4 than to adapt to the MBE auto. And also the MBE auto does not have an...
Does anyone know where I can get an adapter to bolt a 700R4 up to a MBE 3.0L TD? I have an 1991 4Runner that already had that diesel engine installed but I would rather run a GM auto instead of the stock MBE auto. Let me know.
Hey guys. I was just wondering on how much it would cost to put a 5.3L vortec into a 60. I have a 5.3L that needs a timing chain but I can get the engine for free with a good 4L60E. Just wondering to kinda make a budget. Any help would be good. :grinpimp:
1986 engine 22RE with auto trans and t-case. 380,000km on engine 280,000km on trans and t-case. Everything works, with no noises or knocks, but engine burns oil. $800obo. Located in Edmonton Alberta Canada. b_ziober822@hotmail.com
In my opinion you will get better fuel mileage with the auto. For a few reasons. Manuals you tend to do more stop light racing. Autos allow for the turbo to stay loaded up which means your engine will be running more effieciently. With the 700R4 you also get the lowest first gear you can get...
Just a quick question. How much power cna you expect to get out of a stock 4.0l I-6, of course with turbos and intercoolers, and turning up the pump? I am thinking of buying a HJ62 and was wondering if it would be better to buy that and turn the engine up, or buy a gas pot and swap in a 4BT...
Not too sure what those numbers mean. The 8/39 sounds like a tooth count of the pinion and ring. The nominal depth number is usually just a single digit with a plus or minus. You could try calling the manufacturer tech help line. Best of luck.
Are you changing ratios? Your new pinion should be marked for nominal depth, usually on the tooth end of the pinion. Thats where you start and set your pattern form there. Good luck. :)
