Yeah, I had to pull the AC compressor to get at it.

Bumping this for other folks benefit... 19deg this morning, so the maniacal bumble bee went nuts again 16 years after I last pulled, cleaned, and lubed my speedometer cable. So, I'm getting ready to crawl under the truck and do it again.

Any idea of the part number for the plug that goes into the 80 amp early 1992 alternator? I've been searching here, and all over the internet for over an hour and can't figure out what to order. Thanks

THANKS! 27060-61090-84 APPEARS to still be available - it's 80 amp. Some sites show it as being good for 1988-1992... and some don't.

Duh... External - just behind the belt that turns the alternator.

Yep. That's the one. That's so crazy to think about all the sh*t you have to pull out of there to get to it. I guess I'll set aside a weekend and get to it.

Any tricks for getting to this dirty name? My truck is a '92 FJ80, but FSM for this and FJ62 is the same, so figured maybe somebody with a 62 might have some input... The damned thing is tucked in tight underneath the the power steering pump, and behind/under the AC compressor... I can't...
