I put my 24 GX550 OT coilover onto the 250. With the gx coilover on it is 21.875" Hub center to fender lip. From what I can find stock height is 20.75" hub center to fender lip. Increase height of 1.125 I bet the 25 springs will net a 2-2.5"...

Doubt it, balljoints and bushings appeared to be in the same spots. My GX aligned fine without the arms, but that does give me a data point for when I take it back to check the alignment. I might do that this week.

Upper arms and rear shock went in without issue.

Well they fit, but the stock bump stop interferes with the adjusting knob. Looks like I need to make a new bracket for the bump stop. They ride much better than the stock shocks.

Received the front shocks. Upper and lower mounts are the same. Shock is a little longer, which was expected. Oem shock is from a GX550 OT. I'll be attemptimg to install these on the 250.

I tend to agree with your entire post. I owned a 1997 80 series and loved it. I have a 250 FE. This is better unless you are making it a designated off road rig. Even then, I doubt an equally built 250 wouldn't be able to keep up with an 80...
