@Bad1975 - Is this the footwell light connector? Looks like it's connected by a wire we don't have on 1958 trims. Does the wire feeding it originate from the passenger A-pillar?

To my OCD people (Oil Change DIY-ers - quite possibly the same group as regular OCD). Who cleans the dust and dirt grime off the housing before they reinstall the new filter? I have a feeling the dealership never touches this grime during a change. And if they do, they likely get a good amount...

Adding another data point, over a year in. Transmission temps still run high on low speed off roading. Usually see 210-230 on uphill climbing in the San Juans of CO. 230F climbing up Imogene on a 55F outside temp day with very light payload. I noticed other vehicles fans roaring, and I can't...

Obligatory Imogene pics from Sunday. LC performed up to my expectations, except for transmission temps reaching 230F (even in 4Lo manual mode). For those wondering, Imogene is open from the Ouray side and closed on the Telluride side.

Impressive flex! Is that a Dobinsons shock in the rear? Curious what suspension you went with. Saw a ‘25 GX with the stock 1” lift today, so now I’m looking at suspension options since it’s been awhile since I last looked. The extra 1” adds a lot more than I thought in the looks department...

I wish Toyota would give us an EV mode on the 250. Mainly to not start the ICE when I’m rearranging the stable. Then I wouldn’t feel the need to get the ICE up to operating temp for oil quality issues. Would be cool if someone created a tuner or hack for this. Pretty sure all the capabilities...

How do you like the day to day driving experience of an FJ40?

I own a ‘73 FJ40, ‘88 FJ62, ‘11 6MT FJC, ‘24 250, grew up driving a ‘78 FJ40 (still in the family), and have driven an ‘18 200 (only a day though). The 250 is fine. The gas tank is too small as everyone knows. Number one complaint. Other than that it’s a reliable Toyota to me until it breaks...
