I ran it yesterday. Spent many years in the engine machine shop biz. But need to pull the valve cover and do some more testing.
Short on time today, will dig in to it more later this week. Other aspects to consider as well that requires more...
Right now, after running compression, which was south of what I wanted...and it being an overall good candidate for it, there is a distinct possibility that this may go down the rabbit hole of a frame off.
In the same boat with a 1970 40 and the steering wheel is knackered.
Would love a bird head resto but also considering a steering column from summit or flaming river that would open up the options.
Even with a column and wheel it is likely...
I recently installed an FJ60 wheel on Lilred (1977 FJ40).It’s about an inch smaller in diameter but still easy to turn and steer with manual steering. Only modification was drilling and installing the two turn signal cancelling pins. Not sure if...

Well... almost 2 years later and not much has been done.
Had other projects and blah blah life. I've been winding down US Off Road so I finally get a tad bit of extra time to work on MY stuff. Sold off my 98 4Runner and pulled the basically...
