Took the 62 up the roughest road in town after getting a bunch of work done while I was moose hunting. No moose this year, but really happy with the rig!
Hey all,
I am sharing my buddy's LX 470 he has for sale. I think for an 05 it is a pretty darn good price. I haven't seen it for a couple of years, so do your homework on what the frame and body look like in person. I know the seller well...
Well gang, I did in fact score a complete Jetta for $450. Honestly, I didn't know how things were going to play out... because Craigslist.
BUT, the seller was a wonderful guy (and so was his wife who made fresh baked pretzels and cookies for...
This is on a 96 stock white paint. Need to buff it, used just Griots complete compound and I believe I even used their pads. Followed up with their wax
Not the best pic but brought it back to probably close to new condition
A 5th gen 4runner is pretty tough to top, but a good 70 series would probably do it, if you don't mind crazy simple. The other huge problem is rust or potential for it. Would take a lot to prep for winter, but can be done.
Thank for the input. I have a 2023 4runner at the moment and it’s pretty nice but way too much tech, way too much I can’t change and would rather have the vehicle that can be filled up on crap fuel and still drive.
The best you will find will be in the classifieds here, if you are just shopping in the US. The downside of the 70 series search process, IMO, is that they are so tough, they are often beaten to near death, but they won't die. This makes it...
Quite a few in the classifieds that meet most of your conditions.
@Willis has a nice one

That's a good solid price range to get a nice truck. That said, if a west coast or SE corner of the US truck pops up, it would be well worth it to go that route (especially from a seller here on MUD - always get to know your seller) . You...
I have a lot of my own products cast from various grades of aluminum then machined in house. A friend of mine is a brilliant patternmaker.
Those FJco bellhousings look ROUGH. They look like an afterthought more than a product if you've ever...
I have been on the fence the past few months about keeping or selling this engine, and I have decided to re-home it.
Up for grabs is a true, unmolested 1HD-FT out of a 1995 HDJ81. No EGR, no electronics, no problem.
For those who love H-series...
Another huge positive I learned from the new owner is that @Mistral had the conversion done at EBI. If I would have known that I would have done a “full court press” on the others I was pimping this truck to. I bought a 62 a few years ago with...
And I can tell you it’s going to a very good home!!! Seems we are breeding the 12HT’s here in Central TX :). The new owner is a great guy and a true 60 enthusiast
Enough said. Very well stated and by your explanation it’s obvious you’re a cruiser lover at heart. Thank you for sharing.
I absolutely love this setup hence the reason my 60 is built just like yours. I’ll be surprised if you’re not closing...
