HZJ7/FZJ7 genuine round headlamp leveling system 81110-60P80

Very cool! Thanks for sharing this. My HZJ-73 has the adjustable lamps, and they are getting long in the tooth. I didn't even try looking for replacements because I assumed they would be unavailable. Never assume........

    2025 250 1958 Hybrid…..what is the standard behavior?

I believe I read it here on Mud somewhere, that the hybrid drivetrains are either optimized for economy or performance. Examples of the Prius and the LC250 are the bookends for this idea and all other models dropped in somewhere in between. Personally, I really don't know sh*t, but I did...

    Modifications and new car warranty

Thanks for a reply to my original question. That's a great point. I do have a couple of friends with 250's that work them pretty hard off road, and they love em. These are guys that have had trucks from 40 series on up. I'm not worried about durability in the least.

Thank you. It seems like a nice truck. Our 200 has been great. When I jumped from an 80 to a 100, then to a 200, each series had improvement in manners and performance in stock or mildly modded form for all around everyday use. I expect the 250 to do the same.

That's a good point about the non HE 200 series being a better buy. My 2013 is modded and I like it that way, and other than a couple of small things that would get tossed anyway doing mods to it, the difference is nil. I do love that cool box too :D On the 600, that is just too far out...

Thank you. A 2020 or 2021 HE is on my radar for sure. I agree they are the U.S. pinnacle for the Land Cruiser. That said, everyone is down on the 250 being a "prado", but with TNGA, I feel the Prado argument is a bit moot because so many trucks are on the same platform anyway.

    Modifications and new car warranty

Hello all, I am seriously considering moving to a new GX550 Overtrail to replace my 2013 200 series. I'm still not 100% there because the 200 is so good, but the reality is it has 213,000 (trouble free) miles and it is my wife's daily and our weekend Cruiser. I have a stable full of older...

    Whatcha workin on?

That's interesting. I have stripped lots of wire insulation with my teeth, but have not found it flavorful, lol.

Buddy approved!! So cool. I probably lucked out because Buddy's leash was a Frisbee, lol. I love and appreciate the special bond only a dog can bring. I really love this. Thank you so much SAS leaders for making this happen!

    Whatcha workin on?

We've been putting the trim back on. I originally was getting ready for paint, but I just don't have time for it. Sun faded clear over green it's is. Looking more like an 80 again.

    Whatcha workin on?

We made some big strides on the green 80. The 1FZ-FE going into it came out of my daughter's rusted 80. I did a head gasket and base line on it a few years ago. We did some more clean up and baseline on it and dropped it in. I had a chance to hot power wash the engine bay before dropping in...

    Whatcha workin on?

Not sure if it is true for all wire, but I read somewhere that wire insulation is plant based (soy?) and the little bastiges like it because of that.

100 series brake pads in a 80 series

I ran 100 series pads for a while on my old 80. I honestly did not find any difference and as @CrabCake stated, they are a very tough fit. You can certainly do it and the guarantee is you will be wiser from the experience, :D If you do new oem rotors and pads and go with the 80 pads, do a...
